Tired of the endless back-and-forth emails just to find a meeting time? Google is solving this common problem with a new AI-powered feature in Gmail called “Help me schedule.” This smart tool, powered by Gemini, promises to take the hassle out of coordinating calendars.
How “Help me schedule” Works
Using the feature is incredibly simple. When Gmail detects you’re trying to set up a meeting in an email, a “Help me schedule” button appears.
Clicking it prompts Gemini to check your Google Calendar for free slots based on the email’s request (like “a 30-minute meeting next week”). It then presents several time options. You can insert these directly into your reply with one click. The recipient just has to click their preferred time, and a calendar invite is automatically created for everyone involved.
A Simple Solution to a Big Headache
This new tool is a huge time-saver. It eliminates the need to switch between your inbox and calendar and cuts down on the endless chain of scheduling emails. By offering multiple times at once and automatically creating the event, it streamlines the entire process, keeping you organized and efficient.
This update is a great example of how AI can simplify everyday tasks and should be rolling out to eligible users soon.
